This is my fourth paragraph what corrections should I make?

Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist who founded the psychoytic method and is known for his theories on the unconscious mind, hypnosis, the dream theory, and defense mechanism of repression. Even though Freud made a profound impact in Europe many of his theories were considered controversial. One of Freud’s controversial theories is that ual desire is the motivation of most human beings. Freud believed that a child desires the parent of the opposite and wants to eliminate the parent of the same . This is widely known as the Oedipus complex. He also he believed people desired and repressed it because of societies standards. Freud believed that this repression led to degradation of the mind. Freud is also known for the idea that the human psyche is divided into three parts: the id, the ego, and the super ego. The ego is the rational part of the mind and balance between the id (immoral) and super ego (moral). When the mind is overridden, it may employ repression in order to keep everything balanced. Freud also proposed that a person’s unconscious mind and dreams reveal their deepest repressions and desires. Freud’s various theories and ideas showed Europeans that man is not wholly rational. It may seem that man is rational but hidden beneath are repressed irrational desires. Freud turned European citizens and psychology away from the surface and into the irrational unconscious mind.
